A message from Steve Seifert, Owner of Bee-Kleen
The health and safety of Bee-Kleen employees, customers and their families is our top priority. As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to develop, we at Bee-Kleen are doing everything we can to continue serving our customers the best we can during this difficult time.
We have developed this Q&A to help our customers understand how we are adjusting our business practices to help protect employees and customers and provide the special cleaning and disinfecting services our customers need during this unprecedented time.
Is Bee-Kleen open during the Coronavirus Outbreak?
Yes. Disinfection, cleaning and maintenance are deemed necessary services to maintain the safety, sanitation and critical operations of residences or other critical businesses, based on the Amended Public Health Order pursuant to the Governor’s directive in Executive Orders Ordering Coloradans to Stay at Home Due to the Presence of COVID-19 in the State. As you can imagine, we are experiencing an unusually high demand for cleaning and disinfecting services and we are doing our best to prioritize customer requests. We are also continuously monitoring updates from the city of Colorado Springs, the county of El Paso and the State of Colorado surrounding the COVID-19 situation and adjust our business plans accordingly.
Does Bee-Kleen offer special cleaning and disinfecting services to help curb COVID-19 infection?
Bee-Kleen follows the “Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection Recommendations” from the CDC which states “For soft (porous) surfaces such as carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes, remove visible contamination if present and clean with appropriate cleaners.” While no current evidence suggests that COVID-19 is transmitted from soft surfaces like fabric or carpet, Bee-Kleen is providing preventive measure cleaning with hot water extraction steam cleaning with application of an EPA-registered, industrial-strength disinfectant.
What precautions does Bee-Kleen take to protect customers and employees?
We wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – During your cleaning service, your cleaning technician will be wearing personal protective equipment including disposable gloves, shoe covers and masks (if appropriate).
We sanitize our equipment – Our cleaning technicians wipe down and disinfect all equipment between each cleaning job so you can be sure that equipment coming into your home is clean and sanitized.
We minimize face-to-face interaction and practice social distancing – Since Bee-Kleen is paperless, we can also be touch-less. What this means:
